⚽ SWWGL 2026/27 Season Update ⚽

The South Wales Women’s & Girls League is introducing new women’s Divison’s 1-4 & Development Divisons. Phased, ability-based competition formats across six age groups to create more balanced, competitive and enjoyable football for all players.

✅ Fewer one-sided results
✅ Greater enjoyment and confidence
✅ Improved player and team retention

For U12, U15, U16 and U17 age groups, teams will begin in group stages before being regraded into divisions based on performance, ensuring teams play opponents of a similar ability throughout the season.

The league’s aim is simple:

“The right game, against the right opponent, at the right time.”
